Essential Need's governance, policies and procedures
Essential Need is registered in Australia as a charity (ABN 87 608 169 22)
and a company limited by guarantee (ACN 608 169 222).
Essential Need’s Governing Assembly is held annually and it determines the organisation’s broad objectives, elects its Officers and advises the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is composed of Officers (Chairperson, Board Directors, Secretary). They govern the organisation and set the strategic direction in accordance with Essential Need’s mission.
Essential Need’s mission is to help achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, the Target of access to safe and affordable drinking water for every community, known as Target 6.1.
