Food Rascal

Food Rascal joined our Mission to help provide access to “Clean Water for All by 2030”. This Mission was initiated by the United Nations.

Food Rascal is part of the Alder Road Food Group, which is the parent company that drives a number of food and beverage focused brands created by David O’Brien:

Food Rascal encompasses projects with food which includes catering, product development, consulting and mentoring. We have worked with some of Sydney's leading venues to ensure they deliver consistently delicious and profitable food concepts and menus to their guests. In partnership with our friends at Buildcorp & MECCA coffee we are pleased to open our own doors to the public at our street-side cafe, Food Rascal Camperdown.

Cook and Waiter is the creative hub for many of Sydney’s biggest and most glamorous parties. The company thinks and behaves as a boutique caterer working with a very hands-on approach to every event that we are involved with and are consistently offered the most attractive large-scale work in the city.

Ghetto Smokehouse produces a range of hand crafted, smoked goods that feature in many of our menus and are distributed to a select clientelle of bars and restaurants. With all of our brands, providing real, honest and nourishing food is our highest priority.

The traditions of old-school hospitality are integral to to our ethos and inform the tone of everything we do. We believe in generosity of spirit when it comes to portion size, gracious service and flexibility in meeting guest requests.

Alder Road Food Group operate from a 250m2 commercial kitchen ideally situated at 121 Bondi Road, Bondi fronted by a 50m2 office and tasting room. Our commercial premises is capable of preparing food for events up to 2,000 guests.

At a management level, the company is owner-operated with the support of a talented team of event planners, managers, creatives and chefs who look after the fun side of the business, and a dedicated financial management team who look after the engine of the business.

We hold a Gold Catering License, operate under the strictest food safety standards and hold an on premise liquor lience with authorisation for off premise sales.
